Frequently asked

How do I calculate position size?

Risk amount = account size x risk percent. Position size = risk amount / (entry price - stop price). For futures, divide by the per-point tick value instead of the raw price distance.

How much should I risk per trade?

Most consistent traders risk between 0.25% and 1% of the account per trade. Prop firm rules are often stricter, so check your drawdown limit first.

Why does position size matter more than entries?

A wide stop with an oversized position turns a normal losing trade into an account event. Sizing off the stop keeps every loss the same size so your win rate and expectancy stay meaningful.
