Tilt
Definition
Trading while emotionally compromised after a loss or a big win.
Why it matters
The cheapest fix is a hard rule: after two consecutive losses, stop for the session and note it in the journal.
Example
Three losers before 10:30 followed by six trades in twenty minutes is tilt. A hard rule - two losses and you stop - is the only reliable fix.
How to track it in a journal
TradeStack calculates the core performance numbers — win rate, average win and loss, profit factor, expectancy, drawdown and consistency — automatically from imported trades, so tilt stops being something you estimate and becomes something you read.
